Directions

Port Stephens is approximately 200 kilometres and a 2 1/2 hour drive north of Sydney. Following are driving directions from Sydney and additional directions and contact information. Remember that you can ring us on 02-4984-7270 if you get lost or need additional information.

Driving
Take the F3 Freeway north towards Newcastle. At the end of the Freeway turn right at the roundabout and follow the signs to the Hexham Bridge and Taree. Turn right immediately after the Hexham Bridge onto Tomago Road and continue on this road for 15 kilometres to the roundabout on Nelson Bay Road. Turn left onto Nelson Bay Road and continue for 24 kilometres to the roundabout on Port Stephens Drive. Turn left onto Port Stephens Drive and continue for 4.6 kilometres to the roundabout on Soldiers Point Road. Turn left onto Soldiers Point Road. Salamander Beach Luxury Accommodation is 2 kilometres from the roundabout on the left hand side at 196 Soldiers Point Road.

Aeroplane
Newcastle Airport at Williamtown is approximately 30 kilometres from Port Stephens and can be contacted on 02-4965-1925. There is also a seaplane service that operates from Sydney Harbour to Port Stephens. Phone 02-9388-1978.

Coach
Port Stephens Coaches depart daily from Eddy Avenue behind Central Station in Sydney at 2:00 p.m. Phone 02-4982-2940.

Shuttle Service
A number of mini bus shuttle services including WonderBus operate to and from Port Stephens.

Train
Catch a train to Newcastle and then one of the many connecting coaches to Port Stephens. Visit CityRail on the Web or ring their Infoline on 131 500.
